Roofers Guide to Project Management

Developed over 40 pages of content intended to develop training and resources to contractors who wanted to improve their project management strategy. Areas of research and content included: Safety, Administration & Conflict Resolution, General Project Management practices, Roof inspection & Installation as well as in-depth product knowledge development.

This was an initiative that I was given the lead on during my internship with Owens Corning. It is now being further developed with the intention of becoming a new line of customer resources offered by the company.

Baylor FIJI Fright Night 2017 Paper Flye
FIJI Fright Night

This is my Fraternities annual philanthropy event. I took a leadership role as philanthropy chair in 2017, this is my favorite event that our organization is a part of. In 2017 we were able to raise $6,000 for Hurricane Harvey Relief. I will be heading this project again in 2018, we are currently on track to raise as much as $30,000 if we're able to capitalize on securing our current target of national sponsors.

Areas and skill sets that I was able to develop through this project include: Non-profit Business to Business sales tactics on both a national & local scale, Vendor negotiation & management, Marketing strategy, merchandise sales, construction planning & management, Risk Management, Financial Planning & Budgeting.

Baylor All-University Sing & Pigskin

All-University Sing is a number of performances put on by various greek organizations in the spring semester. It sounds a little odd that fraternity is willing to put on a seven-minute broadway performance but it's one of the most competitive aspects of greek life at Baylor. In 2017, I was one of the Sing chairs that helped up place in the top 5 of 17 acts.

My greatest take-aways from this experience include: managing a group of 80 men as they're tasked with becoming highly-trained in an area they have very little experience or interest; dancing. But we had a great time and I looked at it as a great way to spend 12 hours a week with my friends and learning a lot about motivation and leadership.

Professional Development Program: Successful Internships

This past semester I had the honor of leading a panel of very intelligent students as we discussed the topic of Successful Internships in front of a student audience of about 300. It was great experience to grow my network and work with students from other majors. It was a great opportunity to refine my public speaking skills as we tackled a large array of concerns within the field of finding an internship and differentiating yourself from other interns within that experience.
